The Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network is one of the leading cancer networks in the UK. The Network Development Programme is now in its seventh intake, having begun in 2002. The aim of the programme is to develop the network across Merseyside and Cheshire. It focuses on leadership and service improvement using action learning techniques. Participants are health professionals, managers and technical specialists from acute trusts, specialist trusts, primary care trusts, hospices, North West Cancer Intelligence Service and the Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network Core Team.

Design and provision of a leadership development programme sponsored by the NW Medicines Management Network which began in March 2009 and is currently in its second intake. This is an updated approach but Wellsteed Associates has been involved in the three preceding programmes. The programme includes a development centre and action learning.
